Title: License has expired (MC24)
Post by: Rippedgeek on November 07, 2018, 01:52:10 pm
Hi guys

I have MC24 installed on my home PCs, my main PC just came up with "The trial period has expired" - however, MC24 has been installed and running perfectly for months?

I've tried to do a restore license, used my initial license code, ran the .mjr file again, which the MC app then says was successfully installed - but, when I run MC again it still says trial period has expired.  Can anyone please help?

Thanks
Rip

This might sound odd, but is your clock set to the wrong date/time in Windows?

Hi - nope, it's not.  However, I'm probably a little more in the future than most here, I'm in New Zealand, so it's 9:15 am on the 8th.  I doubt that this has any effect though, all my other PCs are the same.  I'm doing a full uninstall/reinstall now, hopefully that'll resolve it.

The mjr file is the Install Key.  It's only good for 14 days.  Use your Registration Code to do a Restore.  Please read this:

Guessing. You don't have 2 versions of MC installed by any chance?

What does help | registration info say?

Hi - thank you for the suggestions.  After removing MC and reinstalling it, it worked fine.  Very odd that it just suddenly started doing this, but regardless, it's been fixed.  :)
