Title: Scanner not found
Post by: Jeff W. on November 09, 2018, 07:35:16 pm
I went to scan in a cover in MC 24/64bit on windows 10 and this version doesn't see my Brother J6920DW printer scanner!

Any things to check?

Does it work if you use the 32-bit version of MC24?

Or use a 64 bit version of the driver for your scanner.

My MC23 (32 bit) sees the scanner fine... MC24 (64 bit) doesn't. I checked the Brother website for the printer/scanner and loaded the latest driver seemed like a generic 32/64 driver.

The 64-bit MC uses WIA for scanners.  Twain (used by the 32-bit) is not normally available.

So unload the 64 Bit MC and load the 32 bit MC 24 is the only answer?
An interesting find in the description on the Brother site for the driver:
"This download only includes the printer and scanner (WIA and/or TWAIN) drivers, optimized for USB or Parallel interface. "
Since my printer is connected via Ethernet I don't get the WIA probably......
