Title: MC and compatible hardware

I want to build a computer for interfacing with my home entertainment system, but I do not simply want to hope whatever hardware I buy will be compatible with MC (e.g., soundcard, display+TV card).  "Compatible", is one issue ... but even better is "tried & true".

For making these issues better suited to topic threads, I was wondering if another YABB discussion section isn't warranted ... e.g., "hardware issues"(?)

I'd specifically ask if anyone has tried the new M-Audio "revolution" audiophile card yet.

I would be interested in hearing about people's experience with this or any other "pro" grade sound cards.
