Is there someone I can send my log file and have them look at it? I've never had a problem with mediacenter, and I've been around a long time, til now. It crashes on me during media import. I have Windows defender turned off and no other anti-virus installed.

I doubt if you have windows defender turned off!! Make sure you have JRiver allowed in Windows defender.

I'll try but I'm pretty sure its off since I keep getting nagged to turn it back on
-
Version 23 seems to be working
-
f version 23 is working but version 24 isn't then it is a pretty sure indication the MC24 is being stopped by your antivirus program. If you are using windows defender just make sure that notifications is turned on and then you should get a pop up menu asking whether you should allow this program to proceed.

I did the whole defender exclusion and still no joy for Ver 24
-
I'm trying to find where to turn on notifications
-
Try settings security firewall or virus and threat protection.
-
Thank you for trying to help. I just don't seem to have the enhanced notification slider on my windows defender where everyone says it should be
-
Where are the files you are trying to import - on a local disc or on a NAS.
-
NAS. I excluded those folders in Defender also
-
Does MC 24 have read write access to the NAS ?
-
It should. When it first connected I gave it the admin username and password but I admit I'm no expert on networking

What type of media files were you importing when the crash occurred? Is it mp4/m4a/mov? If so please download build 72 which is available on this board.
