Title: Burning CDs with JRiver for Mac
Post by: RickWyler on December 28, 2018, 02:03:51 pm
I have used Google and I've searched this forum but I can't find any information on how to burn a CD using JRiver Media for Mac. I have version 23.0.103  and there isn't anything in my action window about burning a CD.  I've been using JRiver for a few years now and only recently have I needed to burn a CD.

I don't think MC for Mac has ever supported CD burning.  I've had good luck with XLD for ripping AND burning CDs.  As long as you files are FLAC, XLD can make good CD from them.

If your files are something other than FLAC, I've used "Burn" a while back and it seemed fine.  Though it seems to not support FLAC at all.  It's the one on SourceForge which burns many different video and audio formats.

Again, if it's FLAC, I highly recommend XLD.  It's "open folder as disc" option works super easily.

Brian.

Thank you.  I'll check-out XLD.  I wonder why the Mac version can't "handle" CD burning.

Likely because it's on the to-do list. Same for Linux too.
