Dear JRiver fans.
I am new here and also new using the PC for music.
My question is very basic, bit I cannot figure it out with the online manuel :
1. Can I use JRiver as my sole music file library ? or should I rather store my music files elsewhere for some reason ? I am looking for simplicity.
2. How can I import into JRiver a piece of music ?
And of course, Happy New Year 2019 to all of you ;)
Best Regards, Raymond.

Bienvenue Raymond,
You can use MC alone. The Getting Started topic on the wiki should help. A link is in my signature below.

Have a look at the videos in linked in my footer to get you started with MC.

MC can manage your music library of your music files, but I'd recommend storing those music files somewhere that's not on the same drive Windows is installed on, e.g. a NAS or dedicated hard drive for media or something like that.

I think that storing media on the same drive is OK, especially if you only have one drive on the machine. Two drives are better.
I'm not convinced that a NAS is a good solution for beginners and intermediate users. It adds more possible points of failure, and NAS drives do have their own problems.
