Title: Whats the deal with tagging pictures?
Post by: Well1234 on May 26, 2003, 03:24:49 am
When one tags a picture, does the tag get stored on disk in the picture/video like an MP3 ID3 tag?... or does the tag just get saved to the MC database?

If saved with the picture/vid, won't that harm the file for viewinf/playback in another tool.  (ie) Wont tagging an mpg make it unplayable?

Thanks.

depends on the media format as stated, or your settings.

if it is mp3's your talking about and you have the option store in media file when able (or somthing like that) turned on it should save it instade the media file. by default this is turned off.

where do you turn this option on?  I am trying to update my mp3 files so that they contain the cover art image within the file  (another jukebox program I use needs it)....but I can't figure out out to add the cover art image to the mp3 file.  Is it possible with MC9 or do I need a 3rd party software to edit the tags?

thanks

Right click on a file, go to properties, then switch to image, using the arrows at the top of the properties window.  There is a checkbox at the bottom.
