Title: Additional Tagging features ?

I find myself all too often having to edit a long list of song titles of other tag filed just to append or remove certain parts of the tag . . .
i.e.: removing the artist name or album name or track number from the song titles,
Adding concert dates to the song title of life cuts, etc.

Is there some way to add a feature where I can append or prepend data to a list of song titles without changing the existing part of the title?  Or to remove parts of a group of song titles (such as track numbers) without editing each one individually??

This would really improve the 'Move/Copy Field' function and make my life and file management much easier

This is indeed a good idea, good use a bit more editing power, now i'm forced to use a different application that supports an "access" database and then update the tags from that database, to change tags, based on external criteria you need SQL.
