Title: Link for searching on Musicbrainz?
Post by: 8139david on January 19, 2019, 08:17:13 am
JRiver's links are very useful.

Here is mine for AMG (using two user defined fields):
http:////www.allmusic.com//search//albums//[Compositeur] [Album] [Album Artist_]

I'd like to have something similar for Musicbrainz, but I haven't been able to identify the search page of Musicbrainz.

Has someone managed to create a working link for that?

Just made something like this: Artist and Album as search criteria

https:////musicbrainz.org//taglookup?tag-lookup.artist=[Artist]&tag-lookup.release=[Album]&tag-lookup.tracknum=&tag-lookup.track=&tag-lookup.duration=&tag-lookup.filename=

Great, thanks! That should be useful.

I'm using this slightly modified link (where 'artiste' is a user field):

https:////musicbrainz.org//taglookup?tag-lookup.artist=[artiste]&tag-lookup.release=[Album]&tag-lookup.recording=[Year]

I have been using MusicBrainz Picard now for many years for tagging new music.  It's really a fantastic service.

How do you use these URLs?  Is that a way to integrate Musicbrainz into MC?

I select an album and click on the link.
Then it opens a external browser and does the indicated search on MusicBrainz.
This way I see what information they have about the album (if any).
