Title: Browser Upgrade?
Post by: Raildog on January 19, 2019, 04:11:31 pm
Just upgraded to version 24 hoping to be able to stream Hulu using Theater View but no luck. It seems that Hulu needs latest browser, but the built in Chromium browser is not compatible. Can browser be updated or is there some work around? I'm sure there are others trying to do this but my searches didn't didn't find much help. Thanks

You can use IE as the engine.  It might work.  It's set under the View menu.

Due to technical and legal limitations, we can't currently offer DRM support in the integrated browser. So any video playback which requires DRM is unfortunately not available in the integrated browser.

To add to what Hendrik said, services that use DRM include Netflix, Amazon/Prime Video, Hulu and of course other services out there that use DRM as well.
