Title: MC won't play aac streams it has recorded?
Post by: Tucker8715 on January 22, 2019, 01:18:18 am
I am unable to play some aac recordings but not others that play fine in Winamp and VLC.  I note that the MC tag shows 4 channels but the source was 2 channels and is shown as 2 in Winamp, and the sample rate is shown as 32 kbps in MC but I know that the source was 44.1 as confirmed by Winamp.  Finally the encoder data in MC shows MPEG 2 but Winamp shows it as MPEG 4.  I have a large number of these files that I would prefer to play in MC rather than using Winamp or VLC.  Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi there.

Would you be willing to send a sample file to matt at jriver?

Hopefully it will offer a clue.

Thanks.

Matt,

FYI I have just uploaded a sample MC unplayable file to Dropbox and sent you a link to it.

Thanks,
Tucker

This should be fixed in the build that just went public.

Thanks for your help!
