I just purchased the Master Liciense of v25. Previous one I had was v23.
Just looked on the forums and could not see about uninstalling a say like me a previous version 23 now I have v24 up and running.
I run the uninstall and see this. See attachment.
Now I know I want to keep my license and library but not sure if I should tick Remove all media center registry entries as will this effect my new v24 version I have just installed.
So wonder if you could consider having another tick box (to make it easy for people like me) that said something like
I am uninstalling previous version as I am using a newer version
Then the uninstall would automatically remove only what is needed to be removed of the older version and I can keep on going with the newer one.

Hello redfish welcome to Interact

Honestly, with the last few rounds of major version upgrades, I've found the following...
Install new version...
Get it all up and running, all working tickety-boo... lovely...
Uninstall previous version... New version library safely installed in it's new version folder, so I remove registry and library files (thumbnails are in that library folder and can cause it to grow to many gigabytes in size)
A fair bit of stuff is then found to be broken in new version...
Reinstall new version...
All is good in the MC world again.

Thanks for procedure.
I will write this down for when I upgrade again in a couple of years. I ain't getting any younger these days. ;)

You're welcome.
While I think about it, MC puts coverart files in the appdata\Roaming\JRiver\Media Center xx\Cover Art folder by default...
I changed the location of mine so many years ago I can't remember when. Does anyone know how a major version upgrade handles that? If it doesn't copy them into the new version folder automatically, you should do that manually prior to uninstalling.
