Title: Licence issue
Post by: kolia on January 24, 2019, 11:31:27 pm
Hello
I had originally purchased a Windows licence, then switched to a master licence. I try to switch back to the original Windows licence with the registration code I have in hand without success. Each time I try to reinstall the Windows licence with the Windows licence registration code it reports that the master licence is installed (I even tried to fully unistall JRiver). Please let me know what I need to do. Thank you (currently MC23 installed on a PC)

It matters because the upgrade price is higher. so I want to revert back to the original licence

You may have overlooked my original post. Years ago I bought a windows licence. Then I upgraded to master licence. I don't care anymore about the master licence, and i do not want any refund, did I suggest that, I don't think so. I just want to be able to install my original Windows licence and pay for the upgrade of the windows licence. Someone from JRiver team willing to assist?

You should be able to buy an upgrade Windows license simply by using your old Windows license key in this form:
https://jriver.com/purchase_25_as_upgrade.html

It doesn't need to be installed in MC for that to happen.

Thank's Hendrik, this is the information I was looking for.

I just bought the Windows upgrade license (MC25). I tried to install it (double click on the file). It is reported: your license file is for another product. So what should I do to get it activated? I already fully uninstalled MC without success.
Thank you

Make sure you're using the latest build of MC24.

I never suggested you wanted a refund. I was trying to get you to this point of explaining what you wanted. As I suspected you were on the wrong page!

No where in YOUR ORIGINAL POST does it say years ago...don't make me out to be the jerk here! :'(
