I cant figure out how to add or delete songs from an existing playlist and resave as the same, I know this must be very simple but I haven't figured it out yet, can someone help?
-
delete a song by right clicking on it and choose remove from list....add the same way but drill down to the playlist you want to add to and choose add....simple.... ;D there are other ways but I find these to be the easiest!
-
that's what I always do but when I re-open that playlist its back to the original version without the added or deleted songs.
-
Are you connecting one copy of MC to another?
-
Ok, I just went through the motions of removing a song from the playlist and adding a different song - closed the playlist and opened it and the changes I made were there. Shutdown MC and restarted it and went to the modified playlist and the changes I had made were still there, so I cannot see why your machine won't do this. Can I ask which MC version and operating system you are using? Are you using a client /server setup?
-
mc23 did the same on my old build as well. this has been going on for 6 months.

I did have this warning come up but I don't know if its related or even what to do about it as everything seems to be working.
Media Center is running but there may be a problem:
1. the program is also running under a different account
2.Media Center 23 and Media Server are both in windows startup
3.The program is not responding for an unknown reason
-
I notice from a previous post that you have recently had a rebuild of your PC which may have altered the account statuses on your machine - you need to check out the accounts and make sure that they are not a bit different from what you previously had. It looks to me that you are running in a read only mode hence your inability to alter playlists.

Right now its unregistered because I don't have Internet connection on this machine and it wont take my key because it says it cant verify. I didn't know it had to have a internet connection to verify, shurly many are running music servers that are not connected to the internet.
-
Well, I would get it on the internet soon because you will probably be running a 30 day trial period.

Not very many.

(Not often that you get advice from the CEO of a company on a forum!)

I cannot connect to the internet, ive tried everything and my service provider will not help with windows xp. Is there not some workaround. When I put my license key in it says it cannot verify.
-
Windows XP isn't supported anymore by JRiver with the newer MC releases. And for MC to successfully be licensed, it has to be connected to the internet while licensing it.
-
If I have to start over again and build a new server I will have to use a 64 bit version of windows because I cant find 32 bit versions for sale under $200. Will I have to buy jrivers MC all over again (for the third time)?
-
No. Both 32 and 64 bit will work on a 64 bit machine. Both use the sa.e license.
-
What CPU do you have? I mean, when you build a new server are you going to get a new CPU for it? If so, the CPU should support 64-bit (and 64-bit OSes) unless it's something like a cheap, low powered Intel Atom CPU.
-
its a core 2 duo either a e8300 or e8500 cant remember which. I think its 64 bit compatible but I cant find any info on it.
-
Both of those cpus support 64 bit OS.
