Title: Has sound quality improved (greatly) between MC22 -> MC24?
Post by: dburna on January 25, 2019, 07:15:55 pm
I took advantage of the sale pricing on MC25 this week (I had MC22 previously on my Mac) and installed MC24 while waiting for MC25 to come out. Also made a couple changes to my desktop system (changed monitor height, installed Mojave). Turned my rig on and -- wow -- the sound quality has improved quite a bit. More pronounced low end and a tighter focus....plus additional soundstage depth. Honestly, I doubt my desktop changes have made much of an impact, so I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced an improvement with sound quality from MC24 (for Mac) -> MC24. This was quite noticeable -- didn't take more than a minute to notice a significant change.

Am I hallucinating?   ::)  Or were there changes in the application that would explain this sonic improvement.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts/input,

-dGB

I moved from MC21 to MC22 to MC24. Sound has remained exactly the same for me.
(It is sent, unmodified, to an external dac, then amplifier, then loudspeakers).
