Title: Adding art to portable DAP

Hi,
I've seen that the handheld sync options allow art to be added to my dap (Plenue M2) but I got a bit nervous about it trying to sync with my main NAS libary and over-writing stuff. Is it possible to just add missing art to the albums stored on the dap and do nothing else? I'm really grateful for any help and advice.
