Title: DSD: channels unbalanced
Post by: Link70 on February 18, 2019, 11:58:17 am
I have a little issue with dsd playback:
I have MC 24.0.75 64bit on W10 pro 64 and I setup direct dsd bitstreaming via asio driver on amanero combo384, no DoP.
What happen is that sometime, with random albums, a channel is higher then the other, and the fastest way to solve is to close and reopen JRiver. It happen only with DSD and is not easy to reproduce because it happen randomly.
Sometimes stop and restart the same track more times solves the issue, but the fastest way is to close and reopen JRiver.
I've tried al the settings, but is not depends of it.
I think it's a sort of hardware syncronization, and yes, i've tried to "Play silence at startup for hardware synchronization" from 0 to 10 seconds without success.
I think only developers can help...

Best reguards.

Did you confirm with a different player? Just to rule out the possibility of a hardware (DAC) issue.

Yes, i've tried another player without find the same issue.
If can help, when I enable "DSD bitstreaming in DoP mode" in the ASIO settings, the channels are always balanced, but I can't play DSD 4x and 8x...

I have to apologize, I thought I was playing in direct asio, but I was playing in DoP mode with the other software. When I've configured the other software in dsd direct, the issue was there...
I think it's a problem of the asio driver of Amanero.

Sorry.
