I tried importing my image collection into Media Center. Some of my pictures are "portrait", and were automatically rotated by my camera software while importing them on the PC.
Now I can use these pictures in every software I know without any problem.
Problem #1: Within Media Center, they appear as black. (only the camera-rotated one) If you want I can send you a sample image (where?)
Problem #2: I tried to rotate one such image (say foo.jpg) within Media Center and get an error "Failed to rotate 1 image". However, looking at the directory, I see that foo.jpg is still there, but now I have a "foo (1).jpg" file next to it. This file is a correct rotated version of foo.jpg, so it seems to be the "temporary" jpg file. So..
a) Why are these temporary files created in the same directory, and why are they left there?
b) Since it appear the rotation succeeded, maybe a "file lock" issue is happening on the final replace or something?
Thanks and keep up the good work!

Maybe foo.jpg is read only?

No - it's fully writeable and on the local hard drive.
