Title: Invalid License Error
Post by: laptop_lizard on January 07, 2003, 09:30:22 am: Today I tried to purchase the license for MJ v8.0.393 by clicking through the "Help:Buy Media Jukebox" on the toolbar. I expecting to be charged $24.98 as indicated.

After filling out the form that popped-up I discovered that I was actually charged $34.98 for MC9.

"Thank you for your purchase of Media Center 9 from JRiver, Inc. for
$34.98"

Whenever I run the registration I get an "Invalid License" error message.

I'm not interested in upgrading to MC9 just yet and would like to have my ten bucks back and have MJv8 registered.

Post by: JimH on January 07, 2003, 10:16:38 am: If you were buying from the MJ 8.0.393 Help, we can't see how it could buy a V9 license without your having selected it.

If you just need to use a V9 license with V8, let me know at jimh @ jriver.com.

and click on "Buy Media Jukebox now..."
A browser window opens and is directed here...

And the same thing happens if I go to the Welcome screen and click on...

Either way...I was charged $34.98 for a product advertised for $24.98. I would like a license that works for v.8x and my ten bucks refunded.

I get an error message invalid license, error code = 14. I don't suppose I mind the extra bucks so much, but I certainly did not select the beta 9 version. I don't even know what it is. I got the free version with an mp3 player I got for Christmas and I just wanted to upgrade it. I certainly did not choose the beta version. Please advise.

or you can switch to Media Center. It's on the downloads page (second download link).

Well, when the media jukebox opens with the organization tree to the left the rest of the box is missing. You can't see it all and you can't make the box bigger. The icon to click on to burn cd's does not show. I PAID FOR VERSION 9 - YOU CHARGED ME 34.98....BUT YOU SENT ME VERSION 8 - which I had to uninstall and go back to version 7 that came free with my mp3 player so I could burn a cd. I am not a happy camper...please advise.

I am using version 7 and waiting to hear from you -- version 9 costs 34.98 -- I need to know if I need to redownload for version 9 or what to do. Please respond asap.
