Title: recording and playback sync issues
Post by: joebristow on April 06, 2019, 09:39:23 am
I’ve updated to the newest version of JRiver Media Center (MC) every time one is available but the recorded video and audio are not in sync. It starts sync’d but after a short period of time the audio lags. The hardware that I have is Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD for signal capture, an AMD FX 8 core processor running windows 10 64 bit and a Tera-byte of disc space for storage.

The other interesting issue if I use the Hauppauge WinTV v8.5 the system records and plays correctly. I like the MC; however, I would like it to function as designed. I have loaded MC25, but I’ve not used it yet. What suggestions do you have?

Which recording format do you use, JTV or TS?

Have you tried the following options under Tools/Options/Video?

Hardware accelerate video decoding when possible

VideoClock (smooths video by adjusting audio)

During video playback you can also manually adjust audio-video sync by using "SHIFT  >" and "SHIFT <" keys.  "SHIFT ?" resets.
