There are several players that can be induced to allow ripping beginning with ancient PS3, the 103/105 generation of Oppo players and, more recently, a number of other players. I summarized the status as of about a year ago: https://www.stereophile.com/content/music-round-93-minidsp-ripping-sacds-page-2 (https://www.stereophile.com/content/music-round-93-minidsp-ripping-sacds-page-2)

With a bit of research and a very cheap BDP-590 Sony players you can be up and running in about an hour.
Forget the PS3 route, that's long since been superseded with recent generation blu-ray players that are now very cheap 2nd hand.

Not as cheap as the 2 PS3s that I am willing to give away. :-)

Just curious, how cheap? :P
@vamrhein some further information... neither PCs or Macs (or any optical drives available for that matter) can read SACD discs, so they can't be 'ripped' via conventional methods. As mentioned above your options are players that support SACD discs running specific chipsets or old PS3s (running older firmware, they cannot be updated).
