Title: Music Server
Post by: JohnPurdue on May 18, 2003, 03:55:58 pm
?
Hi Guys,

I have MC9 Pro running on a WinTelP4.
I also have a Mac iBook running OSX.2 (based on Free BSD)
Both machines are on the same LAN behind my router/firewall.

Is it possible to set the media server to server music and have the iBook act as a client to that server?

I've tried a couple of different things and the best I get is a message on the Mac saying that I am attempting to access the music via an unsupported protocol.

Thanks,

John

The Same Versions of MJ or MC Must Be On Each Computer.

As Far As I Know There Is No Version for the IMac\iBook

One of the drawbacks of owning a Mac.

J River Said They May Work On A Linux Version One Day.

I Think Gateley (From J River) Likes Mac's, I Prefer A Whopper My Self.
