OK, so I've 'analyzed' much of my music collection. Now, what practical use of the BPMs is there?   How do I use BPM?

You could take up DJing and learn how to beat mix . . .  :D

Analysing a track does more than calculate the BPM eg R128 level analysis.

I'm just thinking we could probably fig out how to use this for a play list...
