Title: Easy way to copy metadata if using external conversation tool?

If I use Nikon software to convert .nef->.tif the metadata added to .nef files are nor copied.

Is there an easy way to copy the metada for ~ 1000 .nef files to the .tif files?

Not within MC I suspect, which doesn't seem to pick up the metadata from either file type correctly. At least not with my examples, which are directly out of camera, not converted. MC just shows very basic metadata, and even gets the size wrong, seemingly reading the size of the thumbnail within the image, rather than the image size itself.

I think you need to look for an external solution if the Nikon software doesn't transfer metadata, which is a bit surprising.
