Title: Searching for duplicates, or near duplicates
Post by: beesmakehoney on May 16, 2003, 02:02:34 pm
So I've serched the help files but have not been able to figure out an automated method of locating files that are duplicates, or near duplicates ("The Road" vs "Road") but are essentially the same song, so that I can determine whether or not I want to delete them.

Any help on this one?

Thanks in advance.

select play lists look down the list, look for somthing that states somthing about dups

also if you lookunder smartlists in the help file, and look under modifyers

Duplicates

~dup= or ~nodup=

~dup=[name],[artist] only keeps files in a list when at least one other file has the same name and artist in the list. You can add as many fields as you like (e.g., duration, album, etc).
~nodup=[name],[artist] only keeps files where no other file in the set has the same set of specified fields..
