Title: Double-clicking in view: start playing vs. showing file list?
Post by: SpedInFargo on May 09, 2019, 12:10:51 pm
This has been bothering me for years - wondering if there is a setting somewhere in my views.

On some of my views when I double-click on the album it immediately starts playing it.  In other views it opens up the bottom pane that shows the files associated with whatever I clicked?

I don't really have a preference between the two, I just can't figure out why it's not consistent among my views.

If there's a bottom pane, a double-click will open it up and show you the files.

Sorry, but I don't think this is configurable.

I think you're correct - it essentially has to do with "View As" Panes vs. Categories.  When I switch from one to the other I see the behavior change.  I now see why I have the one view set up as Panes instead of Categories (changing it would have other undesired behavior) so I can live with it obviously (now that I kinda know how it works...)
