Title: How do I change my user info?
Post by: DanielEKFA on May 14, 2003, 10:21:13 am
Sorry for posting this here, but I have no idea where else to do it...

I'm shifting ISPs June 1st, and will lose my current e-mail address under which I've registered my MJ/MC. I want to change it, but I don't know how.

Please help.

TIA,
Daniel

You can change your e-mail address.  Check the FAQ here:

Q: I lost everything, and I no longer have the same e-mail address I used to purchase.
A: Visit the Restore Page, enter the password you chose at purchase time, the original e-mail address where your receipt was sent, and a new e-mail address.  The registration code will be sent to the new address.

Copied from the MC9 License FAQ...

Guess you didn't read deep enough...

My mistake  :)

Now the problem is it doesn't find my email address, even though I've just received license files through it?

Uppercase/Lowercase?

Doesn't seem so - it's lowercase both in the header and the "To:" line in Outlook Express...

I'm also about to change email address, though I don't need to restore my license (I still have the original email). I would like to change my address on your customer profile however such that I never need to refer to my original address - is that possible, or will I always have to supply both old and new addresses in future?

BTW would you ever disclose customers email addresses to third parties?
