I have different music directories in which most of the folders include .jpg, .cue and .m3u files. My common practice is right-clicking on a folder and selecting "play in mc" or "add to playing now". But then the playlist includes all the images which stops playing and music files duplicate or triplicate. Is there a way to filter this beforehand.
Is there a Windows toolbar plugin or option that I can add the player on the taskbar to pause/previous/next?

You could try this recent change:
25.0.11 (3/13/2019)
NEW: When executing command line commands, if the shift key is pressed it will only act on audio and it will only work on images if control is pressed. This way holding that key down while choosing a Windows Explorer shell extension command will only operate on a certain media type.
It was made for cases like yours.

Thanks, it's a well-thought detail but it doesn't solve adding the same tracks 3 times. Not very user-friendly, is it? Is there a way to, say, disassociate playlist and cuesheet extensions so that it would add only flac files?
What about the toolbar?

...and another primitive behavior is, if you don't select "cover art" and tick it on the upper window it displays the cover art of the first album that you added to player, but keeps displaying that same image even when the other albums on the list are playing... Still long way to go about basics even on the 25x100th release huh? :)

Works better when used properly I must admit.
