my computer currently has MC24 & 25 installed. currently running MC25 via desktop shortcut from the latest update. reluctant to uninstall MC24 in case it may negatively impact MC25. and this may, or not be, related but since the update to MC25, i am not able to see new discs ripped to my library on my Bluesound Node 2i. all my other music is there safe and sound

You need to configure autoimport by adding all of the folders you want MC25 to keep an eye on. Then you can either set autimport to run in the background Tools>Options>Library & Folders>Check the run autoimport in the background item, or you can just run autoimport manually.

You can have MC24 installed on your machine without any problems, you don't need to uninstall it unless you are short of space. It can sometimes be useful to have a prior version installed.
