Title: Media editor crash

Howdy folks,

Using MC9.0.88 and XP.

When trying to save a sound clip in Media Editor as an mp3 file the editor crashes every time.  No problem saving as wav file.  

Any thoughts?

What exactly does that mean?
Whenever I check for update from the help menu I get a failed to connect to server.

What next?

Ok, I've now upgraded to 9.0.172 and have exactly the same problem with the Media Editor shutting down when saving as an mp3.

What next?
