Title: FLAC --> WAV = OK, but FLAC --> MP3 = NFW
Post by: gfr92y on June 19, 2019, 05:51:58 pm

I suspect I cannot convert from FLAC to MP3 is because I do not have the file lame.exe or lame_enc.dll in the Plugins subdirectory.

Do I need one or both of these files to convert FLAC to MP3 and if so, where do I get them from?

Thanks!

Joe

The encoders should be downloaded when you try to use them.

What is the full version of MC that you're using?

Try ripping a CD to MP3.  The encoder should be downloaded.

It is not going to be just that easy...

I am in the process of moving and all of my CDs are in storage and before coming home for the summer, my daughter left all of her CDs and DVDs at her boyfriend's apartment.

I do not even have a blank CD here to burn so then I can turn around and rip it!

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Joe

If I have to, I can go to Walmart and buy a cheap CD to rip it... Just let me know.

I figured out a workaround! I can now convert to MP3 on MC25!
