Title: Hairstyle Toggle with x10mp3 remote?
Post by: h3dge on May 12, 2003, 05:58:09 am
The subject is pretty self explanatory...

I have an x10 remote which works wonderfully with the Hairstyle interface...with one exception.  There is no button for Toggle Hairstyle (at least not a button that I can find).  I am missing something?  Is there a programmed button for it?

If not, will there be support in the future?

Thanks...

I also have the X10 remote and so far you must use Girder to have MC9 work with it.
I also hope to see more direct integration, especially as I have yet to figgure out how to add\program functions with Girder.

MC works great with the x10mp3 plugin...with the exception of hairstyle toggle....all the buttons work....

I would hate to run girder for just one button...

To "toggle hairstyle" with the keyboard requires the "menu" key...  can your remote control software send a custom keyboard event to MC?

I'm no using any 3rd party control software...just the stock x10mp3 plugin that comes standard with MC.  This plugin is not programmable in any way.

Guys,

I'm am unable to get my X10 Mp3 remote to work with Media Center. I think I have the dll or whatever that comes with MC - but there is no plugin listed under 'plugins'.

Any ideas where to start?

Thanks,
Brian

I ran into this in newer versions of Media Center that are fresh installs.  I have this problem listed in another topic.  Do a search on the word "BUG" in the subject and it should turn up.  Haven't heard a response on it yet...I would monitor that other thread until an answer is posted.
