Media server is very slow with large cover arts. I still use cloned libraries that point to shared music locations instead.
I think MC recreates the thumbnails each time it reconnects to a server.
The problem would be solved if MC had cached the thumbnails, and recreate them only if they are changed (date/size) in the server.
