Title: Problem With Tagging Message
Post by: bhahn on July 01, 2019, 11:07:33 am
Hello.

For some reason over the past few days I am getting the message "Saving Tag Changes (1 remaining)" in the bottom tool bar of all views, and I am not trying to tag anything. See attached screenshot.

How do I get rid of this permanently?

Thanks.

Bill

I believe this will be to do with some other program holding the file open that MC is trying to tag. Close all other programs and see if MC can then tag the file.

Not sure if it is possible to set lyric search automatic? It could also be then that MC have fetched lyrics for the song which is currently playing but can write the tag only after song has finished playing. Does it go away if you press stop?

"Saving Tag Changes (1 remaining)"

It happens, all the time with me. Nothing gets rid of it, it just stays there, nagging: Saving Tag Changes (1 remaining).  ?

Maybe we could look at the log to see what file MC is working on?  Maybe there's a reason and we can figure it out?

Thanks.

This problem persists. And it doesn't go away when I stop the song or close other programs. Any other ideas? This is very annoying.

Try deselecting update file tags in the option menu. I have never seen this happen in years of using MC.

Reset the log in MC.
Restart MC (or the PC if necessary) so that the message isn't showing.
Play something so that the message displays.
Create a log.
Post the full zip file of the log in this thread.
