Title: Hauppauge HVR 930C (111XXX) setup crashes
Post by: jacobacci on August 01, 2019, 03:30:18 am
I am trying to setup a Hauppauge HVR 930C (111XXX) DVB-C USB Stick within MC.
Network parameters are Switzerland, Postcode 8706. When setup starts, MC crashes and closes.
Besides MC, I have installed WinTV 8.5 from Hauppauge. WinTV works fine.
I am running Win 10 1903, latest updates.
Could there be a compatibility issue between MC and the Hauppauge USB Stick?

Please turn on Logging, (https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Logging) and try setup again.  When it crashes, collect the log/dump files and email to me, yaobing at jriver dot com

The log shows that the crash happened when MC was setting some analog tuners (not DVB tuners).

Were you trying to set up analog TV channels?

However, MC loaded the Hauppauge analog tuner and built a DirectShow graph successfully, but immediately released the tuner.  Then it loaded another analog device, this time it was the Logitech QuickCam device.  This is where it crashed.

I am not sure why MC was loading these tuners, but you can try updating Logitech drivers and see it that helps.

At what stage of TV Setup did the crash occur (what were you doing at the moment)?
