Title: JRSS upmix 2.0 to 5.1 internal player and WDM leading to different result
Post by: Aeron on August 02, 2019, 06:23:13 am
Hi, i just buy this great software and i have a small question about 2.0 to 5.1 upmixing

When using the internal player (madvr, lav) to play a video with 2.0 soundtrack, upmixing the sound to 5.1 with JRSS  result in a near perfect result with voice in the center chanel only music in front L/R and some effects in SR L/R

When using MCPBE64 (with the same filters, madvr lav) in wasapi mode in MPC audio rendering and using the WDM driver (with the same Zone settings in MC) as output device, the result  is not the same.

Front L/R and SR L/R sounds like copies of the center chanel with voice on them too.

Is this normal or a limitation of the WDM driver ?
Is there a way to achieve the same upmixing result of the internal player when using WDM driver with an external player ?

Thank you.
