Title: JRiver as a Web Browser
Post by: mimeh on August 09, 2019, 11:06:36 am
Is there any way to use JRiver as a web browser and manage links for example concert sites like

https://www.digitalconcerthall.com/de/concert/500
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1dBg__wsuo
https://www.francemusique.fr/concert/maison-de-la-radio-auditorium-berlioz-chorales-des-colleges-et-instrumentistes-des-lycees-de-paris-mrf-op-de-rf-maerten

You can add links, like this

That work?

It doesn`t work.

There is no file in the Media center. Its only a link to a special content in the web.

The only possibility I found is to "Add Website" under "Streaming". But there is no option to save Composer, Artist etc.

Streaming from a website address plays the stream of music it supplies, it doesn't save a file on disc to be tagged.

After some experiments I found the following solution:

1.  I produced some dummy mediafiles (three black frames in mpg-format).
2.  I imported these dummies into the media center
3.  I constructed a new link in "Manage Links" with name (Link to Web) with "Base Link" = [web media search].
4.  I listed the dummy mediafiles and filled in some tags like Composer, Artist etc., especially the field "Web Media Search" was filled by the URL like

https://www.digitalconcerthall.com/de/concert/500

To navigate to the Web Source You have to choose the wanted media in the list and click on (Link to Web).
