Title: Is it possible to us MC as a UPnP source?
Post by: muzicman0 on August 26, 2019, 07:26:09 pm
I am trying to set up something with a decent interface on my Nvidia Shield to watch video.  Kodi will do the job nicely, but I can't seem to make the library work the way I want it to.  Is it possible to share MC's library via UPnP?  I know little about DLNA or UPnP, etc...hopeing someone else may know.

I'm not sure what it will do with the Shield.  You'll need a Renderer on it.  But, yes, MC supports DLNA / UPnP.

Yeah...I just came back to delete the post, but since you responded I will leave it up.  At some point I had turned off my DLNA server settings in features.  As soon as I turned it back on, everything worked.

Now I need to see if I can make it work the way I want, by separating out the Recorded TV folder to a different source.

We have JRiver running on the Shield now.  Should have early versions available soon.

Really??!! As in a theater view type client?  That would be so freaking awesome!

I know I'm not a beta tester, but if you need any testing done, I would be happy to help.  I run a technical services department for a software company, so I'm familiar with the process.
