Title: Updating Apple (m4a) files very slow
Post by: snowman on September 02, 2019, 09:18:55 am
I have very poor performance updating Apple (m4a) tags from JRIver to ReadyNAS 102. Updates are almost 10 times slower than updating FLAC files. As anyone experienced this? Thanks

Are the files m4a much larger than the FLAC Files?

Do you see the same issues when local copies (rather than NAS  copies) of the files are updated?

The m4a files are not larger than the FLAC. I tried updating both formats on my iMac and saw no differences. So no, I do not see the same behaviour when updates are performed locally which is weird. I even went as far as doing a factory reset of my NAS without any improvements. Snowman

No anti virus. I have no apps running on the NAS. I just use it as storage. Thanks anyway for your help.
