Title: Ceton InfiniTV 4 USB Drivers and firmware needed Win7 64-bit
Post by: Charlie809 on September 03, 2019, 07:24:09 pm
Hi...I'm new to the forum, so I hope that I'm not off-topic here.

I purchased a used Ceton InfiniTV 4 USB tuner to replace the tuner that failed along with my Win7p (64 bit) computer. Since CetonCorp.com went black I no longer have the ability to download the installation software and the firmware, so I'm pretty much bricked unless I'm able to get it. Any ideas where I can get it? Thanks!

jachin99... Thanks so much for your reply! I did some checking on  (thegreenbutton.com). I was not able to find what I needed. It would be awesome if you could dig up the installation utility (drivers) and the firmware as well for the Ceton 4 USB, Win7 Pro 64-bit. Please let me know. Thanks again.

The only thing I couldn't find was the firmware.  But you can look around on the web archive for those files.  https://web.archive.org/web/20180326142946/http://cetoncorp.com/product-support/

To make things easier I uploaded the win 7 setup, and pdfs this should be a link to download the files you need hopefully https://drive.google.com/open?id=1DZJXudyYKYwPFQb3ZQk0w-2G2ghokW5A

I guess they noticed their site was down, and renewed their hosting.  http://cetoncorp.com/  If you still need your firmware I would grab it while you can.

Got it and upgraded my firmware. Thanks so much!!!
I hope this might be a sign that Ceton Corp jumps back in the game, but my hopes are not up.

An interesting development but, like you, my confidence in Ceton as a viable manufacturer/retailer is pretty darn low

Ceton are gone. Dead. Out of business. Their web site is a place holder, with four year old information at best. They died with WMC. They have two employees, who are probably the owner and his wife, just keeping the name alive while they have support obligations.

Ceton Corp went bust years ago, didn't they? Around 2015. Their web site is gone. Software isn't available. http://cetoncorp.com/support/

They apparently still have two employees though... maybe. https://www.bloomberg.com/profile/company/0282338D:US

I wouldn't buy any secondhand Ceton products at this time. I'm sure if people are selling them now, it is because they no longer work. Particularly on Windows 10.

I remember reading at one point that they were being sued by Gibson a few years ago but I think Gibson might be in financial trouble now.  I know they had a working prototype of their echo running on Android but they weren't confident enough with it to take it to market.  I think ceton is actually just one of the businesses owned by a family.  Either way, you better grab what you can while it lasts.
