Title: Preparing MC to for a new installation of Windows.
Post by: jachin99 on October 01, 2019, 09:28:53 pm
I will be reinstalling windows at some point, likely here soon.  What can I do to make reinstallation of MC as smooth as possible?  I already have a library backup, I moved my cover art folder to an extra drive, and I have sidecar files saved in media folders.  Is there anything I am missing, or is that about the most I can do?  Thanks.

I would do a backup right before you reinstall windows to insure you have the latest. Move the back up to another drive. Install windows and then use the back up to restore MC. While i am not sure if the cover art is a part of the library backup i do know that all my cover art was there after i did the restore.  I don't think you will need it but It will not hurt having your cover art folder backed up.
