Title: Burning Problem : Writing lead-in... forever !
Post by: Cmagic on May 05, 2003, 12:03:41 pm
Hi, Question for JohnT I guess,

I haven't use MC's burning feature for quite a while. And now that I want to backup some files I'm having a problem trying to burn a DATA CD with MC9 build 168.
After pressing start, the 'CD Burning Progress' Windows appears and stays in Status: Writing lead-in... forever. Well, until I press Cancel.

Has this problem been reported before ? Maybe It's a simple setting somewhere, but for now I'm a bit lost.
Sorry that this happens at release time....

Thanks for any help

Christian.

Christian,

I have had real problems with data burns the last few builds so John T sent me an older CDWRiter.ocx pre some recent changes he had made and things were back to normal.  Could be you are suffering similar symptoms of these changes.  If you email him he will send you the file. johnt @ jriver.com

Hello Adam,

Thanks for the tip. I'll send an email to JohnT, It might help. Anyway I'm not stuck, I went back to Nero for a CD or two.
As for now I think I'll hit the kingdom of dreams.

thanks again,

good night,

Christian

Hmmmm  ?

I tried on another machine (my laptop) using build 169 and everything went smoothly.
I think I will investigate a little more...
