A utility called MediaElch will scrape IMDB for both TV and movie data.  Its good for graphics, banners and logo's but seems to leave a lot of the more  detailed metadata on the table   MCRatings gets most of the valuable metadata and will allow you to import the data to specific tags within MC.   My favorite is still MCUtils.  Its collection of powerful Perl scripts that will scrape Music, Movies and TV shows and will pull just about everything available but it takes some time to configure completely and it runs from a command line.  MCUtil pulls data from tmbd.com but will work for Movies and TV shows.  The link below will get you started.

Do yourself a favor and read the entire post before setting out to use it.  It was recently updated to scrape actor images and edit them to include the actors name and character name in the picture.  Moe is the expert on its usage but its pretty similar to the other scripts in the package
