Title: Win10 Update and HDHomerun Channel Problem with Media Center
Post by: olewnickij on October 27, 2019, 10:46:52 pm
I am using MC21 for years, and it worked fine until today with a Win10 update.  After the Win10 update, MC21 lost all its channels for the HDhomerun, and rescanning does not save the channels.  As others experienced, the HDhomerun software scans and saves the channels.  The HDhomerun software is configured for JRiver Media Center.  I reran the HDhomerun configuration software.  I check the Windows firewall to allow MC21 and HDhomerun software.

Win10 is version 1903 for x64 systems (KB4522355).
JRiver MC is 21.0.90

Windows 10 1903 broke our support for TV tuning.  We found a work-around in MC26.

Can you be more specific on how 1903 broke tv? Because I have HDHRP (cable card), been running win10 1903 with MC25 for weeks without any issues. And the OP seems to have been also, until the most recent KB4522355 (which I installed a few days ago, also without issue).

Can the OP create a new MC21 library, reset tv settings, run tv setup?
Can the OP download MC25 trial, do NOT restore library, run tv setup?

I spoke too broadly.  Only ATSC and DVB are affected.  Even for these cases later versions of MC25 is OK except for some cases which required a patch up which I posted on this board.
