Anybody seeing flashes while watching 3D rips (MVC frame pack) ... it happens fast (only few frames) ... see attached .. seems only to affect one eye (in zoom image can see red alternates lines ... as this is LG OLED with passive 3D)
Flashes are not random and happens at certain scenes (Blade Runner once .. EndGame 3-4 places) ... wondering what is at fault ... MakeMKV? Or MC? ... cannot be disk as MakeMKV does not rip bad disks (took me ages to rip Shrek as disk was badly scratched)
If watch same file in 2D - no flashes
If watch same file and tell MadVR to output Over/Under in 4K - no flashes
Very confusing and driving me nuts

I have Blade Runner in 3D. Do you have a specific time code?
Have the same OLED as you, same Media Center version and nVidia drivers, so happy to check.

its around 1:27:19
another funny thing … if MC OSD is shown at the top (one with play buttons), that flash does not happen
-
That's not the OSD, but it does switch MC out of 3D mode.

Oops … not sure what its called … but it has nice play stop buttons and poster
It does not take the movie out of 3D mode though (strangely)
It does take out movie out of HDR (if that matters)
PS. I just stared at that scene in Blade Runner … the play control does not seems to eliminate flashes as I initially thought … it made them "less obvious" … cannot pause on it - too fast

finally found time to make an extract of file where flashes occur

can somebody look at it and see if they notice flashes too in 3D

I downloaded the file. I'll be at the TV playing with my new Shield so I'll check this out today too.
-
I tried and found out for some reason 3D isn't working at all on my setup. No idea why. Sorry I can't help.
-
i dont think Nvidia Shield supports 3D
-
Sorry I just meant since I'd be playing with toys and in front of the TV I'd check out your file. I tried playing it from my HTPC and no 3D is working. Only thing I can think of is the video driver but I haven't updated that in a long time because of Nvidia dropping 3D support.
