Title: What if JRiver's servers go down?
Post by: Striker on November 01, 2019, 01:48:07 pm
What if JRiver's server's go down or JRiver goes out of business?

Seriously, hoping that does not happen.. but what if ??

Will registered users be able to install/reinstall their paid versions of MediaCenter?

Make sure you have a download of the last version stored on your system.  You probably do anyway.

Turn off your Internet connection and see if anything regarding accessing MC servers breaks. Media Network access probably will, but you can replace the access code with the IP address.   Access to YADB may break, but that is not a game changer.  I used to run my main system with no Internet access and everything was fine. That was a few versions ago, but it is probably still true.

The question is...

If I install a saved installation MediaCenter file, can I "register" it with my registration code without an internet connection to the JRiver servers?
