Hi,
I used to rely on MakeMKV to import my media but it's really effort-intensive... so I tried the integrated MC25 DVD/BD ripping tool. I upgraded my old obsolete AnyDVDHD license from Slysoft for the new (trial) version.
When it works, it's so much better because you have everything (movie, extras, + the nice visual packaging of the menus) and it doesn't take time. My only problem is that ripping is really slow (compared to MakeMMKV) & ends 90% of the time with a failure message... I've tried so far Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse (BD : success), Machete (DVD : failures), Death Proof (DVD : failures), Fantastic Mr. Fox (DVD : failure then success).
What's the cause?

Can you post a log of a failure? I'm not sure what would exactly fail there, it litereally copies all the files from the disc.

How do I do that?

See Logging on our wiki.

FWIW - I have AnyDVD HD running in the background, load a disc and MC asks if I want to rip it. As you said, MC then not only rips it but tags it up and grabs all the meta data from the net. I've never had a BD Fail (and few UHD BD that were not yet supported).

Here's the log (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1SY4ptt2ENEmBrWP0kONm4L_gh9XlHcY4).
For good measure, I imported the same DVD on the same drive with MakeMKV with zero problem.

Any news?
