Title: Almost OT: ASIO and clipping

Since I'm using an audio card that does not seem to respond to MC's ASIO output (Terratec Aureon Space), and thus using a beta/RC ASIO implementation (ASIO2KS (http://www.asio2ks.de/)), this is not decidedly a MC problem. But it's something to note.

Trying out some new heaphones, I heard artifacts in a couple of songs. Best description would be "digital clipping" - certain portions of some songs will clip at the peaks. Clipping was reproducable - always the same sections of the same songs. Same effect heard with old headphones. Adjustment of sound card output volume had no affect. Running MC by itself (to minimize the possibility of processor utilization affecting playback) had no effect. Switching to DirectSound immediately resolved the problem. So it's DirectSound for me  ;)
