Title: Constant hanging with 25.0.114
Post by: rjay on November 26, 2019, 10:45:01 am
After years of trouble-free use, I get constant hanging with 25.0.144 after it auto updated a few weeks ago.

I've attached the log. It seems to hang after I've used a browser or played a media file elsewhere (I think) but not always.

I'm using the x64 build of 25.0.114 with a Realtek HD WASAPI driver and am usually playing FLAC files.

Take a look at the Windows Defender thread.

You do if you're using Win10.  Please read the thread.

I did read the thread before I replied. I use WebRoot SecureAnywhere, not Defender, so when I open Win10 settings it looks nothing like the screenshots in that thread and I don't have those options that it recommends to change.  Anyway, I've been using this Win10 and MC combination for years - this problem only started with 25.0.144,

That's common with antivirus/security software.  One build will work, another will be blocked.

Uninstalling the Webroot software will tell you whether it's the cause.

I assume you mean 25.0.114.
