If you're using the 64-bit version of Media Center 25, you might need to use the 32-bit version instead.

Otherwise, this might help: https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Sync_Handheld

What is the mp3 device?

Brand and Model. Link to website would be even better.

Thanks for your response,
My MP3 device is a Pyle PSWP14BK.
It is a waterproof MP3 player for swimming and works great!
I contacted Pyle to find the correct driver, waiting for them to get back to me.
Any advice is welcome.

My MP3 device is a Pyle PSWP14BK.

Ah. Most MP3 devices don't need drivers these days, or just use standard Windows drivers, and appear as a drive letter in Windows Explorer just like a USB stick.

Although the User Manual doesn't say much, it seems that the PSWP14BK does need a driver to work. So you are pursuing the correct path by contacting Pyle to confirm you have the correct driver. However, if it appears in Windows Explorer as a drive, MC should see it. The manual says it supports Drag & Drop, which would imply it is seen as a drive.

Does it appear as a drive?

It's pretty unusual to implement an MP3 device that way these days, as there are standards for connecting USB devices.
